This event, <strong>the first in the world to be dedicated exclusively to imports<\/strong>, <strong>reflects China&#8217;s commitment to high-level openness and its intention to share its market with the rest of the world.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIn its six previous editions, the<strong> CIIE has become a key window for China&#8217;s development, a platform for global opening and a shared resource for the international community<\/strong>. On 24 July, at a press conference, the organisers shared major developments and news for the next edition, highlighting new global partnerships and major milestones.\r\n<h4><strong>Expanding International Participation<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<h4><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThis year, the CIIE will expand its reach with a global promotional campaign that includes travelling exhibitions and the collection of inspiring stories. With the <strong>participation of more than 50 countries and international organisations<\/strong>, including <strong>Norway, Benin, Burundi and UNICEF,<\/strong> the event promises to be a showcase of <strong>cultural and economic offerings, reinforcing bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties with China.<\/strong>\r\n<h4><strong>Fostering Global Innovation<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<h4><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<strong>The CIIE is a unique opportunity for companies to showcase their latest innovations to the Chinese market.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nAccording to <em>Bernd Wagner, CEO of WS Audiology China<\/em>, participating in this event is key to connecting with local consumers. <strong>In previous editions, companies from 173 countries have generated more than USD 424.23 billion in transactions and launched more than 2,400 products and technologies.\r\n<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>The 2024 edition will feature for the first time a section dedicated to new materials, highlighting technological innovations.<\/strong> In addition, the exhibition will include advances in autonomous driving and new energy solutions in the automotive section, as well as products for the &#8220;<strong>silver economy<\/strong>&#8221; in the health and elderly care section.\r\n<h4><strong>Promoting Inclusive Globalisation<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<h4><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe seventh Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF), which will be held in parallel with the CIIE, will address topics such as <strong>artificial intelligence, new energy storage, industrial growth and sustainability<\/strong>, with a <strong>focus on promoting inclusive economic globalisation<\/strong>.
