On November 22, the <em>State Council Information Office<\/em> held a press briefing to <strong>provide details about the initiatives aimed at stabilizing foreign trade growth.<\/strong><\/p><p>During the briefing, <em>Wang Shouwen<\/em>,<em> China\u2019s International Trade Negotiation Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce,<\/em> emphasized that <strong>cross-border e-commerce, as an emerging force in international trade, plays a crucial role in promoting the stable growth of China\u2019s foreign trade.<\/strong><\/p><p>According to data, <strong>in the first three quarters of 2024, China\u2019s cross-border e-commerce recorded a growth of 11.5%,<\/strong> <strong>accounting for nearly 6% of the country\u2019s total foreign trade.<\/strong> This growth and its increasing share in foreign trade indicate that<strong> cross-border e-commerce is becoming a key driver of China\u2019s foreign trade.<\/strong><\/p><p>To further support the development of this business model, the &#8220;Measures&#8221; propose a series of specific actions:<\/p><p><strong>Connecting Supply and Demand:<\/strong> Support exporting companies on e-commerce platforms by linking them with international logistics operators. Additionally, trade fairs and networking events will be organized to facilitate business opportunities.<\/p><p><strong>Enhancing Compliance Training:<\/strong> With over 120,000 companies engaged in cross-border e-commerce, many face challenges related to customs, taxes, or product quality. The goal is to train these companies to improve their legal compliance.<\/p><p><strong>Promoting Integration with Local Industries:<\/strong> Leading platforms and companies will collaborate with industrial zones in 165 cross-border e-commerce pilot areas nationwide, helping small businesses reach international buyers.<\/p><p><strong>Expanding International Agreements:<\/strong> China has included cross-border e-commerce clauses in 23 free trade agreements.
